Central archiving with maximum storage capacity
Bisley was commissioned to equip the MAN group in Munich with new, urgently required storage capacity. To ensure optimal use of space, 7 custom made Innerspace mobile shelving systems were installed. The MAN group employs around 50,000 staff worldwide which involves the handling of an exceptional number of documents and files. Additional premises were rented for this growing admin function and Bisley was instructed to develop a concept for a dynamic, innovative and reliable archive system in line with MAN's company values. After detailed and personal consultation by Bisley GmbH the MAN Group decided on the installation of 7 Innerspace mobile shelving systems that included 100 static shelving units and additional stationery cupboards. The systems can be adapted to suit the room conditions perfectly and demonstrate the strengths of Innerspace; the whole system is easy to install and can be dismantled and re-installed elsewhere. The entire project was carried out from design to installation within a two-month period and MAN now benefit from a custom made archive system that matches their requirements and offers up to 100% more storage space whilst saving 50% floor space. The internal elements of the systems were tailored to the individual specifications of the MAN group. The systems use shelves and the Leitz/Elba Pendulum filing system. If requirements change in the future, the internal elements can easily be changed at any time.Praise was received from the MAN group in particular because of the characteristics of the space: “We almost did not believe that anyone would be able to implement this project so well and to our complete satisfaction”. The Bisley area sales manager responsible for this project conveyed this praise to all the staff and added that this good result would not have been possible without perfect communication and cooperation between all involved.
